On tonight's episode of CBS's 60 Minutes, they are airing a segment called "Americans Buy Guns". I have no idea of the content, or what will air, but I thought I'd pass on this for those interested.

The show starts at 6pm.

Nothing new here. Mostly trying to get support for closing the "gunshow loophole." I can't believe that these top national reporters are such simpletons. The piece right after the gun segment was about poisoning lions in African. True to form, they blame the insecticide Furadan for killing the lions rather than the people using it. What a bunch of morons. :banghead:

Well once again the news media slants their stories toward the anti 2A'ers. I guess I should have full expected that....I half way did.

Just once I'd like to see "equal time" given to both proponents AND opponents. But I guess that's asking to much.

That a private gun owner can sell you a gun. Yup, you got it.

The gun show loophole is the same laws apply inside a gunshow and outside a gunshow.

How is that a loophole? You have to ask the idiots and fascists who keep repeating the lie.

Here is a link to the video, if you missed it:

60 minutes seems that it isn't as slanted as the rest of the news, but the interviewer does ask several "anti" questions.

So...Sen Feinstein thinks that because the police are 'outgunned' by drug cartels the answer is to ban assault rifles?

Now how does this help the border families that are outgunned and out of police protection?

I can just see all the drug smugglers lining up to turn in their weapons because they are now 'illegal". Give me a break and grow a brain Senator.

Re-arm the police with big better guns and patrol the borders a little better.

I didn't watch it, my blood pressure is high enough already, but one thing strikes me.

These days we are hearing a constant mantra of "The police are out gunned . . ." which leads me to a video from the 70s, when the police in California were shooting it out with the Symbianese Liberation Army, and they were pretty state of the art then.

How did they fall so far behind?

Did they trade all of their modern guns in on flintlocks?

Is it really that much of an arms race?

Absolutely old news, and rehashed emotional, non-factual based logic...Diane Feinstein can once again levy the threat that she is in control of this issue and state that she will introduce infringements upon us at will...All I can say is bring it...The fact that they are not is indicative of the lesson they learned the hard way back in 1994...

For every incident they showed in that piece of biased journalistic garbage, any one of us could counter (every single one of them, and then some) with a story about how someone actually defended themselves with a firearm...It really is that simple, yet CBS and the state controlled media have again proven themselves devoid of any balance in that regard...

I really feel like some of these links need to be embedded into our website, and folks that need a little boost from time to time need to go watch a few of these just to stay frosty...

They are a great reminder of what we are ALL up against...

Ditto what jimlongley said above, the gist of the program was predictable.

Dianne Feinstein indeed! :banghead:

Maybe she should ban books because most senators are "outsmarted" by a fifth grader.

If you follow the logic of the anti's, all cars should be taken away from
the US population because there's SOME people who drive drunk.

The administration of justice is so unpredictable. Somebody gets caught
committing a robbery with a gun and is back on the street in no time.

The anti's think if they hassle Mr. Law-Abiding gun owner that the bad guys
will somehow be curbed in their evil-doing. Geez, Louise!

"Laws, like the spider's web, catch the fly and let the hawk go free."
Spanish proverb

I would ask again that all forum members join me in NRA membership.
The NRA fights for our 2A rights against the anti's.
