Am I eligible? (legal issue questions)

I am currently in the process of wanting to apply for a CHL, the issue I have is in 2006 I was charged with , aggrevated assault and assault with bodily injury. The aggrevated assault charge (felony) was "no billed" by the prosecution, and I was placed on "deferred probation" which was completed on May of 2009 for assault with bodily injury (class B misdemeanor). I cant seem to find anything on a charge being "no billed" or a "deferred probation" as to whether or not it would keep me from obtaining a CHL, responses on this subject would be greatly appreciated. As a side note I will be able to file for an expungement in Nov. 2009

While you're waiting for a more definitive answer...

Being "no billed" by the grand jury should have no effect on CHL eligibility.

I don't know what "deferred probation" means. Right now, "deferred adjudication" is the same as "guilty" for the purposes of CHL eligibility. I don't know if the DPS Sunset bill will change that next month.

If you were convicted of a Class B, then you must wait 7 years from the date of conviction to apply.

Misdemeanors are disqualifying for five years.
