I look every time and all there is " NO Loaded Guns Including CHL Holders" Does this count?

there is usually a 30.06 somewhere around. I only go to the one at Will Rogers and there is a 30.06 right by the entrance. IMHO I wouldnt carry into the gun show even if there wasnt a 30.06 posted.

As far as I can see in 30.06 there's no difference between a loaded handgun and one that's unloaded and zip tied.

They post half of a 30.06 sign at the local shows here.
I carry right past it because the sign in not proper and it's at the Amarillo Civic Center.
I also never expose my carry piece while at the show. I have carried in other guns and checked them because I was looking for holsters or selling/trading.

Most gun shows these days are loaded with undercover ATF. I sure would hate to get busted for illegal carry by one of those storm troopers. They would probably shoot you on the spot...LOL. All kidding aside, the risk of getting caught in a gun show seems higher than most other places that don't have 50 law enforcement officers lurking around all over the place.

i leave the magazine in the truck, have the leo inspect and zip tie, put it back in the holster and tuck my shirt behind it, fully exposing it. just cut the tie off at the truck and reload, i put the shirt down as soon as i cross the threshold of the building as i leave though, back to concealed. i know the mag will do me no good in the truck but i am not leaving my gun in the truck to get stolen. i guess i could slip the mag in a pocket but don't know what would happen if anything if i were to be caught with it. though the law says handgun not loaded magazine. what do you guys think?

At the gun show in Mesquite, I leave the magazines in my car. I go ahead and zip tie my pistol and keep it with me till I leave. I can re-holster if I want to. The best is to stop somewhere before you arrive to the gun show ground and leave you carry in the trunk well secured.
It makes sense to go inside the gun show with no loaded magazines A simple mistake would be a shoot out of the first degree!

The LEO's at the gunshow watch me put the magazines in my pocket with no comment.

All Houston shows are properly 30.06 posted that I've been to, I just leave it in the truck, but I never carry a high dollar weapon on those days.

Cool...the Leo's at the Dallas gun show had a big water bottle full of rounds. they make anyone with live rounds put them in the bottle...no exceptions. They would not allow loose rounds or rounds in a magazine. I asked them what the point of this was since I could walk right up to the first table and buy more rounds. They had no answer...just a dumb look.

If it isn't a proper posting then they can only harass a CHL holder while he/she thinks of the punishment he/she is going to insist be done to any LEO, agency or department. The posting requirements are specific. The BATFE doesn't have any power over CHL.
I personally would never even consider going to a posted gun show anyway. I don't care what their excuse is. I can understand that from anti-gun types but not from someone who makes their living selling guns. Besides, the prices at those shows are set so that only a person with no "impulse buying" control would want to buy anything. Yet another personal reason I don't go.

The two around here I attend are the FT Worth show and the Dallas show...they are both properly posted. It get's my goat too, but if I want to look at lots of guns and ammo at one place, I guess I have to disarm. At least they don't make you take it back to the car. They just put one of those plastic straps on it and take all your ammo...LOL. I nno longer take my ammo in with me.

If gun show is on TX state/local owned property, then even a proper 30.06 sign does not make carry by CHL holder a crime. If the gun show is on private property and doesn't have a legally compliant 30.06 sign, then carry by CHL holder is not a crime. I'd be surprised if a federal agent (ATF) would be interested in "busting" you for NOT "illegal" carry. They are generally there looking for federal crimes. If they arrest you then they either have to charge you with a federal crime, which carrying at Will Rogers with a CHL isn't... Or turn you over to state/local police for charging with....ooops, no state crime.

Are you folks telling me that I can ignore the 30.06 sign at Will Rogers or Market Hall? I have been tempted to do this a couple times but backed off at the last minute.

You can do whatever you think your lawyer and legal funds can handle.
