Ft. Worth Gun Show- Report

Spent the late morning and afternoon at the Ft Worth Gun Show. It was definitely packed.
The short of it:
Selection of handguns was less than I was expecting.
Ammo was plentiful, even .380.
Some very nice AR's... but not a tremendous selection of shotguns or safes.
I picked up a stainless XDM in .40 for about $40 less than I had priced online or locally at Bachman. Deals on handguns appeared good, but not "amazing."
Was fun as always!

Lots of people. In some areas people were lined up 3 deep waiting to fill out paperwork on gun purchases. Primers were available, from $45 - 1000 to $60 -1000. One special deal, $210 for 5000. I thought the variety was pretty good, a whole lot of WW2 stuff that was not moving at all. They had bricks of .22 LR for $25 that are $16 at Walmart.
Prices on AR 15s and varients were good, with a pretty good selection. Several .22 LR ARs available and several .22 conversions kits available at normal prices.
I think it was a pretty good show. They got $59 of my money on stuff I was looking for.
thanks,
George

I actually thought the selection of pistols was great. I found no less than 3 different pistils that I have been eyeing lately. Springfield Champion Lightweight Operator, Kel-tec PF9 with black frame and hard chrome slide, and a Kahr PM45.
Too bad I'm too broke to pay attention right now.
Also ended up seeing a couple of the Remington 870 Tactical shotgun I am wanting. Prices were very good on everything that I looked at and was interested in.
Ammo was still ridiculously overpriced as were primers, but they were available if you were willing to pay their prices.
Saw several of the Glock 17RTF2s there starting at $459.

I was a bit overwhelmed by the crowd on Saturday. It was really hard to even take a look at the items without getting shoved forward by the masses.

That is why I don't even go anymore, it has gotten ridiculous.

This one was way more crowded than the last 2 that I have been to. Maybe people are building their funds back up from the first rush.
