I'd like to get some 124gr +p or possibly some 115gr +p+ jhp. Something like a Golden Sabre, Speer Gold Dot, Hydrashock, etc.... What's the best place/price in the South East side of Houston to go to get some? I'm new to guns and don't know where all of the shops are so I thought that asking some of you that are more familiar with the area might have some hidden gems for me to check out.

Academy has hollow points every now and then, but with the supply issues, it's difficult to say what they'll have and when they'll have it. I would therefore suggest calling ahead (pro tip: hit 2 and then 3 when the phone menu starts) and asking the guys in the Hunting & Fishing department what exactly they have in your caliber. My Academy here in West Houston had plenty of 9mm target and personal protection ammo when I went yesterday, so you may be in luck this week. I do know that they get shipments on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so it's probably best to call around noon on those days.

Carter's Country in Pasadena (Shaver???) has some SD ammo behind the counter you migh want to check out...I haven't been there in a while so call ahead and check the stock b4 you venture out..

ProDefense down the Gulf Fwy @ NASA Rd. 1 stocks some premium priced SD ammo you might want to check out as well...

If you can wait till the next gunshow at the Pasadena Convention center, you'll find lots of vendors selling what you are looking for there...
