Started with Smith's then a Colt Detective Special, then the Agent, and finally finished mod'ing this unfired 1976 Colt Cobra. Picked it up from the gunsmith yesterday.

light weight, 6 shots, bobbed hammer, Gary Dean trigger job, Jim Badger grips

This is it, a keeper, boys and girls. Finally got it right.

Yeah, I guess you could say I'm just a little pleased and excited. ;)

Got to give props to a fellow Texan for guiding me down this path and doing the exceptional hammer work.

confession: for the last couple of mornings as I've dressed I've reached for my Agent instead of the Cobra.

I have never owned a gun that I didn't carry or shoot as a practical tool.

This pristine unfired Cobra's kinda messing with my head.

For some reason I've always thought owning a "safe queen" was something to be snickered at.

That is quite nice. It looks like it belongs in a classy detective movie.
