This graphic shows a lot of stats on Florida's CHL-equivalent stats.
Someone should develop this for Texas.

Of course Florida has only 67 counties, while Texas has 254 counties,
so our graphic would be pretty big.

Monroe County on the bottom tip, just west of Miami, has 4.9%!! That's great! Miami-Dade is under 3%. Odd.

That would be a great resource to have. I'm sure the DPS could put this onto a Texas county map, if it hasn't been done already. The stats are setting somewhere, they just need to be produced.

Ours should already have a color code on each county to show the CHL density or lack thereof before you click on the county...Then when you click show the same type of info broken down like they did with the Florida chart...

easy to explain. The Crime rates explain it all. Criminals don't like getting shot at and they tend to live in the big city. Folks in more civilized places don't mind making holes in bad guys.

Right now for me it just says "undefined" for each county.

What is interesting is that, statewide, their percentage of permit holders is 2.9% — considerably higher than our own — and in some counties, it is 4% or higher.
