Sorry if this has been discussed (I tried to search for this topic with no results). I was wondering, if I'm a passenger in a vehicle and my friend is pulled over for a traffic violation, am I required to give notice to the officer that I am carrying or do I remain quiet?

If you are asked to produce ID, the ID === DL + CHL. Driving does not matter.

Unless you are asked for your Driver's license (identification) you arent required to.

There has been a law change that went into effect on Sept 1 that changed it so that in the event that you dont (after being asked for ID), you dont get the suspension.
