My hometown. Goodfellow AFB is there. Training base - INTEL and Firefighters. What can I say - last time I lived there was 1985 when I graduated HS. Still has small town appeal.

There is the Outdoorsman and Field and Streams. Both are pretty good although Field and Streams has more inventory...As with most towns with military affiliation, there are also plenty of pawn shops...Also, Texas Gun Shop has tons of reloading supplies...

Zentner's Daughter is a good place for some food. It's right across the street from ASU on Knickerbocker. If you have some time to look around Fort Concho is pretty neat.

Sorry though don't really know of any gun shops. My Dad's side of the family is from there and I have spent a lot of time in the area.

+aBrazillian. that place is rather good. for something slightly different, try their Jager Schnitzel (no, it doesn't have Jaeger in it...)
The Top of the Cactus is kind of a neat place that has bands. Don't know if Scorz is still open, but I used to see bands/play there. Same with The Steel Penny (although the Penny was more of a FratBoy scene).
There's eleventy million Mes'can food joints, but I had a fondness for a place called Mejor Que Nada (Better'n Nuthin). I liked their Sour Cream Enchiladas, myself. Ask if Jason Crudup still works there. if he does, kick'em in the shin for me :
