The few articles I have read on .380 ammo for self-defense all recommend JHP in the 90gr. weight. Haven't seen any recommending the 102gr weight. Do you know anything about this particular ammo? Also, how many rounds in the box? :bigear:

this was the first time i've seen 102gr also .
i thought it was strange , but as long as it wasn't ( +P ) i went ahead and got it .
the box has 25 rounds in it .

i was there several days ago and he had stacks and stacks of .380
in about 4 different brands .for example...50 Winchester target rounds ...$ 19.95 per box

you should call for availability ...stock changes regularly .

The 102 gr Golden Saber round is an excellent choice for SD in .380. I quit carrying a .380 when I got my Taurus ultralite .38 . I wouldn't have any problem with the GS round if I were to resume carry of the .380.

At $1.40 per round, how much of that ammo do you plan to shoot? This is the problem I've run into with my .380 - the ammo, even range ammo, is hard to find. Then when I do find it it cost so much that shooting up a couple of boxes on the range is "very" expensive. I realize this may just be a personal problem. I'm retired and living on fixed income.

probably just one box . and save the other box to use as my SD ammo.
i really want to make sure it works well .

the hard part will be when i squeeze of 7 rounds as fast as i can pull the trigger .

$ 1.40 x 7 rounds = $ 9.80 in 2 seconds ... :cryin

the joy of squeezing off 7 rounds in 2 seconds ...priceless :mrgreen:
