Kerrville to get FBI training range

The city council of Kerrville voted 4-0 yesterday to participate in the construction of an FBI training range on city property.

Apparently the center will be open only to law enforcement.

While it would not be open to walk-in shooters, the agreement says it may also be used to train the general public.
I wonder if my instructor buddies would be able to have some pull to conduct their training here...I'll sign up just to shoot here!

I took "may be" to mean "if we feel like it."

Maybe some LEOs who are CHL or NRA instructors will have some leverage.

There is a Coast Guard range on Galveston Island that legally should be available to civilians, but they use the simple expedient of never answering the phone.

There's an FBI/Conroe PD range in Conroe, I doubt they would let the public in! I don't know that for sure because I haven't asked, just my opinion!
