....of the DPS remebering that in 4 years there will be a big surge in renewals?
I suspect that once this surge' is over they will drop back on staffing levels then in 4 years when all the renewals for people that waited and waited this year we will be waiting all over again!
I wonder if they will plan ahead for it or if that is just wishful thinking

Well I think now they are 5 years and staggered to end on your birthday. So that will spread them out a little bit, but I see your point.

I tried to post and I accidentally deleted it...
Anyway, I was going to mention that and also they now have non-commissioned officers doing background checks, according to DPS that was the hold up.

I would suspect the surge had to do with the election, just a guess, and in 4 years many won't be so worried and won't renew.

We may be able to look back on it, but I for one, won't be laughing.

Well I for one will be renewing. Even if 'the king falls' I bet the crime rate doesn't!

i think it will be thought of as a dark time in American history .
he may possibly pass Carter as the worst president in history .
but that's just my feeling about it .
sorry if that offends anyone .

I'll bet you are right. I'm scared to think what the crime rate will be like with 4 years of ultra-liberal policies in effect.

Whew! I guess I'm lucky to be in the off cycle. Two more years before my renewal.

Not only will they have been in effect but even when the "lord obama" falls, it will take another 4 years to get rid of the policies and many we will just have to be stuck with.
Pray that health care isn't one of them.
