Senator Mark Udall of Colorado introduced a bill that would increase funding for public shooting ranges, using funds from an excise tax on sporting goods.

As usual, this bill will have a long slog through Congress and may never again see the light of day.

Today is National Hunting and Fishing Day. Who knew?

Do you think the Democrats would really let this pass. I would be amazed.

We'll see. Sen. Udall is a Democrat. The Senate has been passing pretty much everything that comes to the floor. The potential problems are in the House.

It's pretty difficult for representatives who claim that they support "the 2nd amendment, hunting, and sport shooting," which nearly all do, and not support public ranges. Plus, it's an economic stimulus.

But not the economic stimulus that they deem we need. :banghead:
