No one has any experience with JPoint sights on a pistol - on this forum?
Is it because they're so costly or ...?
Anyone...?

I have no experience with them either, but here's a
link for those who are interested in learning more about them. If anyone decides to give them a try, I hope they'll share their experience with us.

Excaliber,
Thanks for the information.
I've cursorily searched the internet and have found few who've mounted them on a pistol.
At a glance, it would seem they're quite a technological advantage over the standard/tritium/fiberoptic type sights, but I'm not certain. I'd love to know if what, if any, downside there might be. Other than high cost that is.

I can't comment on the JPoint sights. I use the Aimpoint H-1 Micro sight on both rifles and handguns and they are great. The H-1 is basically the same as the T-1 but it doesn't have night vision capabilities. Extremely light yet rugged and fantastic battery life.

QB,
Thanks for the input.
The JPoint is similar, but looks a bit less bulky than the Aimpoint.
Plus, while JP is quite pricey, having then looked at the Aimpoint - wow, they're even more spectacular in cost.
That being said, would you consider the Aimpoint for concealed carry or ...?
Thanks!

I certainly wouldn't use any optic on my concealed carry gun.......not only because of the snagging/holster/concealment issues but because there would not be time to use it. In emergency scenarios I would think you'd only have a few seconds (if that) to react....nearly at the point and shoot stage I would think.
I use mine at the range, just for fun shooting..........

I know Jim Grover AKA: Kelly McCann runs a G19 with the Jpoint sight. I believe you can co-witness the Jpoint and the front sight, so that they can be used like a large peep sight.
