1911 ambi to non ambi safety?

I'm considering selling/trading my Kimber Ultra carry for a railed 4" Springfield Lightweight Champion Operator but I do not want the ambi safety. Can this conversion be done and are there any special parts or gotchas I need to know about to make this conversion?
Videos or pictures would be most helpful.

The only catch is you need to fit the safety to ensure it properly blocks the sear. Any decent gun smith with any 1911 knowledge should be able to do this easily enough.

You'll need a single side safety:

http://www.edbrown.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.c ... 4495645240" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Installation is not that difficult if you're mechanically inclined. However, it is a safety device so having a qualified is a good option.
Some installation info:

Thanks for the input. I'm going single safety with my PT 1911 ASAP.

I think I'll be replacing my ambi hipower safety with a single:
