Range report 10/05/2009......Marksman Indoor Range

As I was off work day for my birthday 
my wife and I decided to visit the range for some practice.
After having had the Bersa looked at and the slide once again back in position the Bersa got a run out too today.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that the range was pretty quiet and also that ladies shoot for free on Mondays.
We popped around 300 rounds through the various pistols.
I was somewhat surprised to see that shotguns can be shot in there. I am not sure why I thought they couldn't be, but I am now definately going to take mine there next time.
I got a little concerned when the guy on the target on the left knocked one into my target especially as his target was at the 3 yard distance and mine was at 7 yards! I think I can honestly say I have never seen such a crazy target at that distance.
I did get a chance to throughly test the Bersa out and it had about 6 FTF's out of 75 rounds.
I placed the target at 3 yards and blasted 30 through it to see how it would perform....and here is the target.
I then stuck a target up for the Glock 30 and popped in 20 at 3 yards and 30 at 7 yards....here is that target. The ammo on this one was reloaded...sorry...remanufactured so I was pretty pleased with the results.
The 22 conversion kit ran smoothly if not a little wayward but not too bad. The 36 grain ammo runs through just fine despite the recommendation that a minimum of 40 Gr is used.,,,presumably so that the slide cycles....but it operated just fine with the 36 grain.
My wife shot really well again and she is definately liking the new Tru-Glos on the G19.
One side note....if you use Tru-Glo sights (and all our guns but the Bersa have them) I would definately recommend plain glasses rather than yellow for indoor shooting.
All in all a great way to spend the day.
