Just an interesting observation: I went to Siegels Liquor Store on I-30 in Rockwall County for the first time in a long time. I noticed that they had a "ghostbusters" no weapons sign on the front door as I went in. What I didn't see anywhere -either outside or inside - was the required TABC posting about non-licensed carry. The ghostbusters was the only sign that had any connection to carrying a weapon.

Fortunately, that is a problem for the store; not the CHL holder.

Perhas the sign is put up to discourage would-be liquor store robbers? It seems to work at the Post Offices.

The 51% sign is required for an establishment that has 51% on premises consumption, not carry out sales.

GC s411.204. NOTICE REQUIRED ON CERTAIN PREMISES.
(a) A business that has a permit or license issued under Chapter 25, 28, 32, 69, or 74, Alcoholic Beverage Code, and that derives 51 percent or more of its income from the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption as determined by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission under Section 104.06, Alcoholic Beverage Code, shall prominently display at each entrance to the business premises a sign that complies with the requirements of Subsection (c).

He's talking about the "Unlicensed Possession" sign that all establishments are required to display for selling carry out alcohol.

Funny you mention this. I have a liquor store near me that has a 51% sign in the window at the entrance. I know it's an error but I have never said a word to the owners. It doesn't appy so I don't care. I still carry when entering. Concealed and closed mouth means nobody ever knows.
