The TSRA is having an open house all week to show off their new offices in Austin.
From the E-Mail:
TSRA announces Members Week (Oct. 12-16) in Austin
TSRA members are cordially invited to celebrate Member's Week and visit the new TSRA offices at 314 E. Highland Mall Blvd. #300, Austin, TX 78752. Hours: 9am to 5pm. Come see the new digs and meet the staff. Call 512-615-4200 if you need directions.

The offices are very nice. Mrs. Chemist and I were treated like visiting royalty by everyone we saw.
And that includes our new Executive Director.

If you have the opportunity, I urge you to stop in and say hello.
They even have munchies!

What? No pictures?

Visiting the TSRA digs might be a suitable excuse for a ride on the Triumph in the hill country...have to check the weather forecast.

Please tell us that one of you inquired about the behavior of our friends at the State Fair??? I'm just saying that a visit and casual conversation would have been a great opportunity to find out if the TRSA is doing anything about this situation.

Sorry, Magicglock. It didn't come up.
Most likely because I have no idea what you are talking about.
I did not go to the fair.

That's too bad. The screening of CHL holders at the entrance of the State Fair and the mandatory requirement to allow security agents to log your personal information in a log book is what I was referring to in my post. This has been a hot topic on the forum and I made the mistake of assuming that everyone was aware of the situation. Many members have posted remarks asking if the TSRA or NRA have gotten involved or willing to step up and go to bat for the CHL community. A visit to the main office would have been a great opportunity to at least get a candid response to the situation. Sorry, it is so easy to jump from topic to topic and forget that not everyone has seen the other topics.
