I just got my first PSA score since my surgery! It's 0.003 the note on the lab slip said, "Great undetectable!"

A hearty thanks to The Good Lord for his blessings.

Thanks to all here who offered prayers and words of encouragement.

Praise God. I'm happy for you.

I'm in limbo myself. My Dr. found a "nodule" on my prostate a month ago when I was recovering from a kidney infection, but he couldn't administer a PSA because my system was too inflamed still and I was too full of antibiotics to give a baseline PSA result. I have to wait until 12/2 for the PSA, and then depending on the number, I'll have to have a biopsy. And depending on the biopsy results, the surgery and radiation, etc.

I'm not too worried about the medical side. My doctor said that, given my age, it's only about a 20% chance that it's cancerous; it's been discovered early; and I've been sicker than that before.

But my concern is the financial side. I'm uninsured (no insurance company wants me because of pre-existing conditions), so anything I have to have done will come out of my pocket, and I don't exactly have bags of money layin' around.

Been there and done that. Texas, BTW, has a must insure program but IT AIN"T CHEAP.

Good luck, God Bless and try to hurry your 65th birthday.
