Highlights:
West Lake Hills police charged a local man with deadly conduct for allegedly shooting two deer on Rocky River Road last Wednesday.
Westbank resident Marshall Bradford Taylor, 22, was released on $10,000 bond Tuesday afternoon. According to the police report, a witness saw Taylor allegedly shoot at a buck from the driver’s side of his black hummer in the direction of a residence on Rocky Ridge Road around 7:30 p.m. the night of Oct. 28.
“He has a lifetime hunting license and a concealed handgun license; he’s educated on firearms,” De Leon said of the suspect. “He should have known better than to fire a gun within the city limits.” Deadly conduct can be a Class A misdemeanor or a third-degree felony.
Not good.

Oh well. He's young. Perhaps he can cop to the midee and join the fold again in a few years.

Age 22 + lifetime hunting license + Hummer = more money than sense.

Get a rope. People like this we don't need.. no where, no how, no way, no excuses.
I really have no use, whatsoever, for those who think they are above the rules.

Depending on where the deer were when he shot at them, he may also be looking at two felonies for poaching.

He and/or his parents will probably try to buy his way out of this one. Makes me sick.

The article also states he was using this gun - a Colt 1911 Gold Cup Trophy 45 - which can be had on the interwebs for around $1050.

I took a look at Rocky River Road on Google street view. Yeah: ain't no trailer parks there!
There are big lots, but it's not rural at all. I don't know how he thought he could shoot deer there and not get caught.

“He has a lifetime hunting license and a concealed handgun license; he’s educated on firearms,” De Leon said of the suspect.
Not necessarily.

and his actions prove it.
If he has a lifetime hunting license shouldn't he know that he can't take a deer out of season? Take his guns and license off him, make him requalify in 10 years, he may have grown up by then. No doubt daddy will bail him out though

....money talks. (in my case it usually says 'Goodbye')

I'll be interested in seeing how this plays out...will the law or will Daddy's money prevail?

oh puh-lease, the guy shot a couple of deer out of season. He wasn't driving around town shooting out windows or snorting coke.
He shot 2 deer.
Im sure if he was a blue collar worker who had been laid off in this great economy and had taken the deer to feed his family, you'd be singing a different tune, but since he's a rich kid, he deserves to be hung....

What do you suggest...Bro? This immature and irresponsible
{person} was acting in flagrant disregard for the safety of others, his responsibilities as a CHL holder and the laws of the state of Texas. Get a rope!
