Nothing. Tazers are about as regulated as T-shirts in Texas.
If you were to openly carry one, it would attract attention because of people mistaking it for a firearm.

I dont want to start a New thread, what about Mace?
I am looking at my Less than Lethal Options
PS. Can I carry my 3.5 Sog Flash 2 around clipped to my pocket (with the clip being visible but not the knife)?

Mace is not legal for civilians to carry, but pepper spray/foam is. Kimber LifeAct. I highly recommend it.

One is legal, the other isn't.
Actually that is a pretty interesting statement. My wife carries pepper spray and was looking at a stun gun this weekend but she is afraid she will zap herself...not exactly sure why though, she has never shot herself!
The starnge thing is she wanted pepper spray for dogs that may attack while she is out walking ours...she doesn't want to shot a dog...but she carries the two guns to stop BGs! No peper, just lead for them!

This is a common misconception, but Mace (as a brand name for a tear gas) is legal to carry. Note that the mace specifically listed as being banned is listed under clubs. It means the type of weapon that has a ball and spikes on it (
see here for some examples from wikipedia).
Mace as a tear gas, CS, CN, or OC sprays all come under the chemical weapons definition, which specifically excludes small personal dispensers from the law.

Careful, some city and county jurisdictions ban Tazers. Check with your lawyer and sheriff's office first.
Pepper spray is legal in more places than Tazers.

A Mace (as in the weapon) is definitely one of my favorites...had I been born several hundred years ago I would enjoy wielding one, and NOT being on the receiving, for sure!
