I'm here for a day or two, and would like to shoot a little, if there's a range around here.

DANG! I'm on my way out tomorrow to go to Nebraska to visit my extended in laws. I would have loved to take you shooting. If you're this way again, let me know and I'll try then. Hope your trip goes well. Sorry I won't be here. There's a range in Midland. lrb lives in the area, maybe he'll be available. I haven't had a chance to get together yet, try him. I need to get in touch as well.

Oh, I'm sure I'll be this way again. This is just one of the rare times I got to drive my service truck up on a weekend.

I was planning a range trip in Corpus Christi this weekend, but I got called this morning to head up here for a day or three.

I often get an emergency rig call to this area during the week, and I always fly up for those. In those instances I can only bring a pistol, since my checked baggage is already so darned heavy.

I have my Romy AK with me this time, and I wanted to fire a few magazines through it. I haven't fired it in a while. Most of my 7.62x39 ammo goes through my unissued Yugo SKS these days.

well doggone! I never saw this thread. We did haul our junk to the range today. I apologize for not seeing this until now. MIdland Shooter's limits guests to one visit each per year, if they are not out-of-town, or family.
So, if you think you want to go next time, send me pm, and i'll let tyou know what i'm up to.

I work for a cable company and ISP. So, there are lots of times i think I'm going to do something and get called away. I got a call out today while we were at the range, but got lucky and called in a favor from my co-worker.

I guess the same sort of thing that brings you here, might keep me from going out to play also. But I will certainly give it a try.

I ended up stuck 20-miles west of Kermit all day, so it wouldn't have happened anyway.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll shoot you a pm next time, Larry.

HEY!! I know where Kermit is!!

So what to I win?

Nah, I was born in Kermit. And my grandparents still live there. Got an Uncle in Midland, and another Uncle in Monahans. We all sprouted from the good ol' Permian Basin. I enjoy going back there to visit. It's ALMOST as nice as Abilene. ;-)
