I found these videos on the web by Mac Teutates, on detailed disassembly and reassembly of the Springfield XD series handguns. This is a 7-part series, and I found it very informative. I thought I would share them with all my XD brothers and sisters.

Part 1 - Introducing the Springfield XD Pistol - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj8FTAGWtg0

Part 2 - General Field Strip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npDufZcxwpM

Part 3 - Upper End Detailed Teardown - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aovE1trVwho

Part 4 - Lower End Detailed Teardown - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39DFY14vtVw

Part 5 - Lower End Reassembly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DmNgyNZ0hA

Part 6 - Upper End Reassembly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqj0lcL9I3Y

Part 7 - 3rd Safety Feature Explained - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR9RprsHmPo

I'm not sure how the newer XDM series parallels with the XD. I'd be interested in hearing from some of you XDM owners on the internal differences.

If you don't need them I'll take them I am trying to get a free full gun. "rlol"

If you can't get the XD back together I know where there is a G30 for sale...only $401 !

Question...A little off topic...sorry , but I don't see in the owners manual about using +p ammo.
Anyone know if that's a no no in the XD ? :confused5

I carry +P loads, and have shot roughly 250 through my XD40 without any problems. I asked a gunsmith who went to armorers school for Springfield, including the XD, and he said no problemo. :thumbs2:

Cool ! Thanks !

Some manufacturers make clear not to , so I wasn't sure about the XD.
