What does everyone think of this statement? I found it in my EH after getting my plastic.
"Carrying firearms or any other dangerous weapons, at any time, on premises owned or occupied by a Client
Company, unless otherwise authorized in compliance with state law regulations and licensing requirements."

IANAL but I interprete it as saying if you have a CHL you're good to carry. Keep it concealed and your mouth shut.

Mine reads like this:
1 POLICY
The unauthorized use, possession, sale, purchase, or distribution of weapons,
alcohol, illegal drugs, or the improper/abusive use of legally prescribed drugs,
or other intoxicating substances, or being impaired, in the workplace or in the
course and scope of employment is strictly prohibited. The Company will
utilize every reasonable measure to maintain a drug, alcohol and weapon free
work environment and expects personnel to abide by any and all applicable
governmental regulations on this subject.
2 PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to advise all personnel of the Company’s position on
drugs, alcohol and weapons in the workplace, and to provide a safe work
environment, free from the use, sale, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs or
drug paraphernalia, the improper or abusive use of legal drugs, dangerous weapons,
or the unauthorized possession or consumption of alcohol in the workplace.
3 SCOPE
This policy covers the following: (1) persons employed by the Company in safety
sensitive positions (2) all other persons employed by the company on a full-time,
part-time or temporary basis, and (3) all persons in the workplace. Lease or contract
personnel performing work for the Company, whether or not in the workplace, or
other third parties in the workplace, are subject to this policy to the maximum extent
practicable.
The scope of this policy may be limited by the laws of the various jurisdictions where
the Company and its subsidiaries conduct business. To the extent the provisions of
this policy contravene the laws of a jurisdiction, the laws of the jurisdiction shall
govern, and such offending provisions shall be deemed stricken from this policy as it
relates to Company operations in the jurisdiction; and the remaining provisions shall
not be affected thereby. All reverences to laws or statutes in this policy shall be
deemed to refer to the appropriate governing authority in a jurisdiction, or to comply
with client requirements.
The Company and its subsidiaries may adopt a policy or guidelines to replace
or modify this policy, in whole or in part, or to add additional or stricter
requirements to govern Company operations in a specific jurisdiction or for a
specific client.
Not sure what that means, but I think it means NO CARRY.

I read 2 things into that statement:
1. It's an incomplete sentence.
2. If you are a CHL holder you are authorized to carry "on premises owned or occupied by a Client
Company". IANAL.

I often quietly follow what I know the law says while decreetly ignoring clear requests. Everyone's happy.

Is anyone here a lawyer?

There are, but I'm not one of them.
1. Although it is an incomplete sentence, it looks like something that might be in a list of things that are prohibited.
2. I agree.

I interpret "unless otherwise authorized" to say that as I am authorized to carry concealed, I am good to go.
And, I most certainly comply with any regs and requirements.

Sure. Lot's of people here are. The administrator/owner of the site is. But he's not your lawyer unless you retained him. I'm not aware of a legal requirement on an internet blog/newsgroup/whatever the heck this place is...To truthfully declare your occupation as a pre-requisite of exercising your rights below (which presumably are incorporated to the States and can be reasonably be interpreted as applying to your postings here).
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I might be a lawyer, a cop, a soldier/sailor/marine/airman, fireman, or boat captain...
My view of the OP question under Texas law is that he could lose his job for not following the company policy as expressed in the Handbook. However I don't see grounds for a criminal prosecution.

DaMonsta,
I am not a lawyer, but have read a lot of employee handbooks. The "...unless otherwise authorized in compliance with state law regulations and licensing requirements" statements to me would say you are allowed to carry as you are following state law and are licensed to do so. If it were my handbook, I would talk to HR and ask them for a clearer definition of the rule without disclosing you want to carry.

............as said previously...carry concealed and be quiet...........
Bringing it up for clarification will alert them to the fact you may be carrying and might lead to a change in the policy. Neither are good for you. Let sleeping dogs lie.
