A praise to report!

MY PSA LEVEL IS 0.48!! (Normal is between 0 and 4)
I've had some chronic kidney/bladder/prostate issues for 10 years now, and every once in a while I get a UTI that seriously kicks my butt.
The last time, back at the beginning of October, I had a followup exam with my urologist during which he found a lump on my prostate. He did not want to draw a PSA test at that time because he said that the results would be artificially skewed by both the antibiotics and the fact that my system was still recovering from a nasty infection. He said I had to wait 2 months for everything to calm down before I could have it done, and that if the results were high then he was going to recommend a biopsy. He also said that, given my age, there was about a 20% chance that this nodule was cancerous.
Anyway, I've had to carry this burden for the past two months now, trying to live for the 80%, and plan for the 20%. It has been a trying time. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

That's GREAT NEWS TAM !!
Was your PSA high at one point ? If so , what did you do to lower it ? (forgive my lack of knowledge in this matter)
These are things I don't like to think about , but after hitting a certain age I'm forced to.

These are things I don't like to think about , but after hitting a certain age I'm forced to.

It has been as high as 6 before, but that was immediately after recovering from an infection, and it typically hovers around 3 or 4; so this is a significant reduction for me. I'm in my late 50s, and I have an enlarged prostate, so I have to be careful to monitor it. My doctor finding this lump scared me to death. I know that prostate cancer is very treatable, usually with very good results; but all the same, it is the big "C" word, and I was worried.
As far as doing things to lower it, or to
try to keep it from going up, I take three different Herbalife supplement products daily that address prostate health in men. My wife is a supervisor level distributor, so I can get the products at a significant discount from retail. I've been using them for most of the past two months now, and my PSA is lower than it has been in years. I don't know for absolute certain that these supplements made the difference, but the price is right and it is cheap peace of mind, so I'm going to keep taking them.

I am pretty sure this can be attributed to better living and better shooting. You know, now that he finally got a Glock in his household.

The Glock is probably what caused the kidney/bladder infection. Getting another 1911 is the best medicine. In the absence of that, getting an M1A cures everything, cancels out the cross-mojination, and retunes the universe's vibration frequency.

Call it what you will, TAM. All I see is - you bought the Glock, your PSA is way down. Just saying...

Does PSA stand for "pistol shooting accuracy" ?...
