The above link is to the Lake Cities Sun newspaper piece about a Lake Dallas man, 30,
who appears to be a CHL. The brain surgeon's booking photo is provided.

He claimed to be a Texas Ranger inside a 51% site in Lewisville and robbed a man at
gunpoint of 2 cell phones.

For anyone not familar with the geography, Lake Dallas and Lewisville are located in
Denton County (North of Dallas).

Charges against him: 1. Aggravated robbery
2. Unlawfully carrying a handgun by a licensed holder in alcohol licensed premise.
3. Impersonating a public servant.

What a nimrod. Unfortunately there these types out there, and as our ranks grow, the chances that we have more of these nutcases come out of the woodwork will increase. :banghead:

That's because he's a "CHL sash" kind of a guy.

That's how he rolls.

Do you think he looks a little too cheery in his mug shot?
Maybe a little buzzed/drunk?

You know what they say "Buzzed robbery is drunk robbery!" :-)

He couldn't since he was 'undercover'. Will bet you a dollar to a donut that he has one though. "rlol"

I question whether he is really a CHL. The article says he was in a restaurant, so it's unlikely it's a 51% location. If not, he couldn't be charged with "unlawful carry by a license holder . . ." However, if he's not a CHL, then he could be charged with a felony for possession a firearm on the premises of a business that sells or serves alcohol.

I suspect it's just inaccurate wording in the news article.

Chas.

ah yes, now I see. Instead of Tx Rangers rounding up cattle thieves, horse thieves, and dangerous
felons..... they are rounding up cell phones in restaurants......not.

Huh?
A man suspected of impersonating a Texas Ranger was arrested Sunday night, Dec. 27.
According to Capt. Jay Powell, Lewisville Police Department, it happened Dec. 13 when the man approached another man at a restaurant at the 100 block of Main Street in Lewisville.
Dyson, from Lake Dallas, was sent to Denton County Jail. He was in custody until Dec. 19. He is now out of jail after making bail.
He was arrested on December 27th and held until December 19th? If they have time reversal cells, what can I do to spend a few weeks in one?
I question whether he is really a CHL. The article says he was in a restaurant, so it's unlikely it's a 51% location.
Only thing on Google Maps for the 100 block of east or west Main that looks like it would have alcohol is the Old Town Flying Pig Bar and Grill. I could see that being 51%, yet described as a restaurant by the reporters whose paper wants their advertising money.

He probably has a collection of the counterfeit "FBI" - "Sheriff" - "Police" hats they sale at 7-11. I would like to help serve the warrant on his dwelling. :smilelol5:
