I don't own a Cougar, but I'm always tempted when I see them in Academy at a very attractive price. They look and feel like the more expensive Beretta and are just as reliable.

Stoeger is a subsidiary of Beretta. Stoeger produces the guns in Turkey using the same machinery that Beretta used in Italy. Stoeger offers the same high quality gun but at a greatly reduced cost.

I have the Stoeger Cougar 8000F, 9mm, 15+1 and have been very pleased. Purchased about a year ago and have shot almost 2200 rounds. It did take about 300-to-400 rounds to really break it in, but it is as accurate as I am capable of shooting. I did have one problem with the right side safety lever (some internal pin or something broke around 1600 rounds) and had to ship it off to Maryland for a warranty repair. Good as new and seems to be getting better each time I shoot it. The Stoeger is an excellent value and I will definately consider the .45ACP model. :clapping:
