As much as I can hardly stand to watch the guy , it will be interesting to see if
even after a year in office if the blame will still be put on Bush.
Also , I'm sure that he will boast about "creating or saving jobs" even with the double digit unemployment.
Prepare to be amazed.

From the WSJ today.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 62948.html
The tragedy is that Mr. Obama's fiscal conversion is coming a year too late, assuming it is now real. If the President and his party really are serious, they can do more than promise a spending freeze after 2012. They can stop spending more now: Drop the health-care bill, cancel the unspent stimulus spending from last year, kill the $150 billion new stimulus that has already passed the House, and bar all repaid bailout cash from being re-spent. Everything else is marketing.

My grandson and I are playing Wii this evening. No, I can't stand to watch him...even at all.

"spending freeze"?????
we've been duped if we fall for that line. These people jacked the budget up so much the last 12 months that a freeze now would kill us.... don't freeze it, slash it, gut it, even the old phrase "draconian cuts" would work. But when you increase the budget at such a high rate as last year, then attempt to gain favor with the ignorant masses by claiming to have learned a lesson and decided to move to the "center".... give me a break.
I hope the American population isn't ignorant enough to fall for this spending freeze garbage

Like the article says "these programs have already had a 22% increase in their annual appropriations in the past two years, and another 25% increase including stimulus."

With less than 20 minutes till he speaks , here is a prediction of what he'll say...in the words of Toby Keith..
I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Oh my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeee (me,me,me,me-background singers)
I wanna talk about me (me,me-background singers)
I wanna talk about ME!

I heard about a drinking game this morning on the radio. Every time he says any of the following, take a shot.
1. "Let me be clear."
2. "Make no mistake."
3. "Change is difficult" or "Change is hard."
And if he says, "Pants on the ground" finish the bottle.

Please be reminded that a majority of the American population elected this person.

Technically it was the majority of registered voters who bothered to vote. Hopefully those who did not exercise their rights last time will have "come to Obama" (since he thinks he's Jesus) moment before the next major elections.

I just wonder where Joe "You Lie" Wilson is tonight.

Rest assured the Bush administration will be blamed multiple times for the Obama administration not getting anything done this last year. Go figure!

As I've pointed out to one of the city councilmen here, 14,300 of the 15,000 people in this town didn't want him in office enough to vote for him. I think he finally got the point that less than 5% of the city's population can boot him out next election if they turn up at the polls.
As for the state of the union, board rules prohibit posting the actual state of our union here.
