Update: "Older" 9mm Combat Commander Rebuild

(Well, it's 1977 "old)

Dovetail cut, Novak geezer sights installed, bead blasted and mailed today to Mississippi for Black T.

Ed Brown and EGW stainless externals waiting to be installed.

Gary Dean's doing the smithing.

Then it's gonna get assembled and smoked, A LOT.:rock:

Oh, yeah, I keep anything and everything "old". :lol:

They have some honest wear on them, but I'm not sure yet if they're going to be the best for competition shooting.

I know it's 1911 heresy but my fav's are the rubber wraparound's like on this LW Commander I had:

It's all "feel" with me since I only own shooters.

I have a set of fancy, "Carbon Creations" grips for my 1911 project, but if they don't feel and shoot right, no way they're staying on.
