Carry or No Carry

There is going to be a Tea Party in Brownwood this upcoming week in which Anna Hupp (of the Lubby's shooting fame) will be a speaker (including Medina). There will be an auction of AR-15' afterwards as a fund raiser.

Question... since it is held at a school building, though school will not be in progress.... is that a carry or no carry situation?

Thanks
Wayne

School buildings are off limits at all times. If the actual AR-15 is there, then they better have persmission from the school system.

That was my understanding too. It was the auctioning of the AR's that threw me. Maybe they are auctioning but not have the actual guns there? Who knows. I plan to be there though.

"Immediately following the Texas Sized Tea Party, Suzanna Hupp will be available for a book signing out in the foyer.
Inside for those that wish to stay and attend there will be an auction fundraiser for the two candidates that were nice enough to accept our invitation, Debra Medina and Chris Younts. There will be AR-15 rifles amongst other great items that will be up for auction. Additionally there will be a raffle for a rifle."

Per law, they can actually have the rifle there is the school administration approves it. However, I imagine it will not be present since it is not a school sponsored function and they are more than likely just renting the building.
