Hey guys I'm going to Atlanta Georgia later this year from Houston Texas. I am driving and will pass through Louisiana mississippi alabama and obviously Georgia I have a tx chl and ws wondering if anyone knew the law about chl carry as I pass through these states. any info will be greatly appreciated.

The laws in each of these states vary. Do some research on the internet or if you have an IPhone, download the app "gun conceal". Gives great info on each state.

In La you want to avoid any place that serves alcohol. You are prohibited from cc in a place of worship (should not be a problem as I assume you are driving through). Avoid any place with any type of "No Guns" postings.

In Ms avoid public parks, places of worship, any place that has a sign that can be read from 10ft away that states guns are prohibited, bars.

In Ga avoid parks and bars.

As joe817 said, this is an excellent site to get up to date info on the various laws of different states. There can be a HUGE difference in the various state laws and you will never remember them so print the laws of each state and make a little note book and as you travel from state to state, keep the page of the then current state out and available. You might even check the links to each of the states websites to be sure that you get the very latest info. I did the trip to Atlanta and back a couple of years ago. The difference was I flew over there and drove back. I had NO issues at all on either leg of the trip. Just keep the pages handy and you will be OK

Once you specify which states you have a resident and non-resident license for, you click the states you'll be traveling through, and it tells you which states honor your permit, and gives links to the state laws for each of them.
