Merritt Dr / Central & LBJ shooting today

Gunman walked into a Father& Son financial office. Opened fire on the father and the son. Apparently the gunman
was a former client. Obviously not happy with some financial deal.
I don't know if the building was posted but:
Now, in reaction, will the buildings owners post a 30.06 sign?
or, will they do nothing? or maybe even post a "Unlicensed possession" sign?

30.06 or not, that won't stop a derranged person who is on a mission of violence. It's not like he'll see that sign and say "Oh no, I almost broke the law. I better not carry in there, it's posted!"
also, he likely didn't have a CHL and is unaware of what the sign even means if he didn't stop to read it.
Just my opinion

The 63 year old father was shot in the legs
and is expected to recover.
His 39 year old son was shot in the face and
chest. His wounds are life-threatening.
The gunman then shot himself, but did not kill himself.

Exactly what I think. Just wondering what the knee jerk reaction might be from the building mgt.

This is literally a block away from work for me! I didn't hear the shots, but did quickly learn what had happened and that the situation was already secure. It was an eye opener for many at work that it could happen so close by.
The response by LEO in this shooting and the WalMart shooting in Commerce yesterday was extremely impressive!
I doubt that any signs will go up regarding guns.

My first thought is...I hope the victims recover from this horrible act of violence. I'm not really concerned what type of signs the building management may or may not post. Now, that said...given the
demonstrated effectiveness of signs in stopping homicidal maniacs, I would suggest that the owners post a sign saying.
PURSUANT TO TEXAS PC 19.02 (MURDER) AND TEXAS PC 19.03 (CAPITAL MURDER), MURDER IS PROHIBITED ON THESE PREMISES. VIOLATORS WILL BE SUBJECT TO EXPULSION FROM THE PREMISES, AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION.
That ought to scare them. Also suggest printing in block letters at least 1" high, lest someone claim they didn't know MURDER was illegal.

ScottDLS:
You need to have the anti-murder signs in Spanish too, to make them effective.

And Farsi and Arabic too, while we're at it.
With credit to the Five Man Electrical Band, I will quote lyrics under "fair use" safe harbor to copyright law (I'm kind of afraid of "taking the ride"). And understanding the "take down" provisions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DCMA"), recognizing of course that this is not a public performance of said lyrics.

"Sign Sign everywhere a sign...
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind...
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign ..."

Oh and I am required by internet legend to state that: In this message I never claimed that I was an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas, nor a licensed securities dealer, CPA, or IRS enrolled agent. Or is "IANAL" sufficient?

The father is expected to survive, his son is not.
The shooter remains in the ICU at Baylor in Dallas, status unknown.
***Not inside info if that crossed your mind...WFAA reported this on thier website***

according to the article, that was at 12222 merit drive. I used to work at 12221 and it was posted (albeit not compliant). those buildings are part of the same complex.
