This is my newest SP101 from Gemini.
* Hybra Ported ™ Porting
* Badger grips made for my large hands. They are longer than Jim's normal size. The picture does not do it justice.
* Complete Action Tuning to a 9lb trigger DAO.
* Crown Barrel
* Gold Bead front sight
* Chamfer Cylinder Throats and Moonclips
* Recontour & Polish Trigger
* "Bob" Hammer
* Dehorn for Carry
* Eliminate Cylinder End shake
* Replaced all Springs
* Polished all Plungers and Pins
* Completely Hard Chromed by Tripp

Wow - that looks awesome! I was just watching a review of one of those the other day by "nutnfancy" on YouTube. I had my mind set on the S&W 642, but I think the SP101 gets my vote now - especially after seeing yours!! Very nice.

Do you feel that SP101 is too heavy to carry? The previously mentioned reviewer did, but then again, he prefers "mobility vs. firepower" as a general philosophy.

That's great Carl!

If you ever want to sell it, I am claiming first dibbs!

Only part I don't understand is:
Chamfer Cylinder Throats and Moonclips
When did .38/.357 need moonclips?

Beautiful pistol!

I am about to ask you to make another holster that will fit this one. Going to wait a little bit to see if I can bring myself to shoot it. The only difference I find is the 642 is easier for pocket carry, but the SP101 is sure sweet shooting.

Hey Alan. No big deal on the moonclips other than that was my choice. I like using moon clips better than speedloaders.

Carl,

That IS the prettiest revolver I've ever seen!! Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, how much $$ does a special job like that add to the cost of the basic SP101?

Very nice. I love the sp101. The only thing I don't like are the ugly stock rubber grips. You took care of that problem, and all the other stuff you did is pretty neat too!
:cheers2:

Nice pistola. I really like mine (target gray finish-don't see many of them) but sure not as nice looking as yours.

karder,

I bought a set of Hogue rubber grips for my Ruger SP101 for $15.00 on line.

It was a snap to change them out and now the pistol not only looks good, it's far easier to shoot as the grips are significantly larger giving me greater control.
