It arrived a few minutes ago, my new Crossbreed Supertuck. Let me start with the customer service, the online order was clean enough but what got me is when I called down there to see if I could add a set of "J" clips to my order, saving on shipping. The lady was very kind, and after looking up my order said, "Okay, we've added one set of "J" clips." I asked if they need my CC # again or if they could just add it to the invoice. She was adamant, "Oh no! We're just going to add them." I thanked her.

When it first arrived I immediately checked the fit of the pistol, it was very secure but still came out cleanly. I clipped into my britches at 4 O'Clock and tucked in around it. Out of the box depth was perfect. I bloused the shirt a tad and had my daughter look at it. Except for an occasional and momentary corner poke with some contortions to my posture, it concealed well. Then the fat boy acid test...sitting. I sat down and it is more comfortable than even my Bullard OWB. The bulge in the britches is spread out so as to be unnoticeable. Now all I need is a secondary veteran's Wally Walk

I'll post more as I get a chance to use it some. Oh yeah, they threw in a roll of Lifesavers. How they new Wild Cherry was my favorite, I guess I'll never know.

I have a supertuck for my Sig 239 and a slider (owb) for my new 220 compact. I'm currently waiting for delivery on my new quickclip holster for the 220. Crossbreed was the answer for me on carrying, comfortably & concealed a full sized weapon.

For a long time I thought my only options were a bellyband or fanny pack. I had tried all sorts of IWB rigs without success but I did end up really liking my Bullard OWB. But If I wanted to wear a dress shirt or had reason to tuck in, I had to wear a bra (bellyband). This forum has been such a resource and I can't begin to fathom how much money I have saved by having those with experience sharing. I absolutely can not get over the customer service at Crossbreed.

I am this close (thumb and index finger almost touching) to clicking "checkout" I just need to know which one to get. I'm thinking supertuck, but is the horshide worth the xtra $15? And should I spend the $5 for the J clips? Help!! My size 15 Uncle Mikes doesn't work. It's for my Bersa Ultra Compact 9. Those that are learned please post or PM.

This opinion comes from someone who does not yet own the Supertuck (but did order one yesterday):

I would not bother with the J-Hooks. It has been explained to me that the J-hooks cause the weight to ride on your pants, and not on your belt. That is undesirable. My plan is to use the standard belt clips that come with it. If I want more covert carry, and need to hide the belt clips, then I'll order some C-Clips from Comp Tac. Crossbreed does not offer C-Clips, and I assume that the C-Clips from Comp Tac would fit on the Crossbreed Supertuck.

I personally opted for the horsehide. It's hot here, and sweat will be an issue. For only $15 more, you get the best. This is also why I chose the Crossbreed Supertuck over the Comp Tac Minotaur. I believe horsehide is better.

I did not opt for the horsehide on any of my Crossbreeds and have not regretted it after a couple years of use. As Vic stated, the J-hooks make the weight ride on your pants. The way your pants belt loops lay out will determine whether they will work for you. If you wind up with reasonably heavy weight material and belt loops real close to the J-hooks you won't have a problem. Light weight dress pants get pulled down by the weight and look/feel funny to me.

The last holster I ordered had the combat cut and I wish that I had ordered it on my other Crossbreeds. The combat cut really does allow a better grasp of the gun when drawing. Of course, you can always order the regular holster and cut it down yourself later.

You know I've had my crossbreed for 6 months now and I've been wearing it the wrong way the whole time... I guess I should read the directions... the holster carries a lot better clipped ON the belt instead of the pants....

I say get the horsehide. I did...it's supposed to be a denser grain leather and more resistant to wear and perspiration. I wound up getting the J-Clips and I tried both ways before deciding on a hybrid, with a J-Clip in front and a regular clip in back. The J-Clips alone meant there was too much weight riding on the fabric of my jeans. However, the J-Clip in front helps keep the holster in place when I draw.

I actually just ordered my second Supertuck (for my 1911) a week or so ago...I can't wait until it arrives! Now that spring is here, it's getting tough to conceal a 1911 in my OWB holster.

Read the "FAQ" for LEO, military or NRA discount of 10%. They will no longer give them after the order is placed.

I have 2 of the Super Tucks in the horsehide (one for a Beretta 9mm, one for a Bersa 380) and really like them. The Bersa one came a little too tight, but I followed the instructions on how to loosen it up on your own and it seems to work well now. I still need to get an appropriate weight-bearing "gun belt" to hold it all up... my current belts don't seem to support it very well.

Yes, spend the five bucks and get the J Hooks. I personally didn't have any problem with the weight of the holster on my jeans. Maybe it has to do with the weight of the gun, I dunno, but at least if you get them you have the option of using one or both.
