I have a SP101. That is a 5-shot. I need a 6. They will have a Squallin fall out fit if I show up at instructor school w/ a 5-shot to qualify with.

If I have to cause trouble there I will just do it w/ my Taurus 85 UL snubby.

When I train someone that wants to carry a revolver I train them w/ what they have. 5 shot snubbie, or 6 shot.

LT - you are welcome to borrow my beloved GP100 for instructor qualification. It has made many happy trips to the DPS range and never failed me yet. (Even in the monsoon we qualified in this past year!) But, I won't sell it - not even to you.

BTW - How does it shoot under water.

It did real well under water. Only shot a 246, but it was kinda hard to even SEE the target in the pouring rain, much less hit it! Did better than my other half. He was shooting a security six and managed to lock it up with a bad round, and dropped 10 points. (durned factory ammo!) You know you gotta get some of that too, right?

What about a Charter Arms revolver?
They're pretty cost effective.
I've got one and I like it just fine.

LT there are going to be others there with 5 shot revolvers. They stop the line for those folks to extract a couple empties and load two more. They have done it every time we've been there.

Is that a new thing? I qualified with a DAO SP-101 back in the day. (What's the point of the 5 shot strings except to accommodate 5 shot snubbies?)

Yes sir & I know they do it all the time. Just mostly a little conversational fun.
There is only one stage in the qual that is a load 6 if everyone has 6-shooters.
Rest is 4 or 5.
