Step Down Mounts

Does anyone have any experience with these?
Seems like a decent way to mount optics on to an A2 upper.
Or do you think I may be better off with one of these?
ETA: Just looking for an easy way to get optics on my AR A2, until I complete the build of my new AR. So I am open to other suggestions!
