Is it ok to carry in a building when you used to work there and you don't work for that company anymore. No 30.06 posted anywhere

Were you at any point given notice under 30.06? Employee handbook with 30.06 language? Oral notification? Or was it just a policy that did not meet 30.06 requirements?
Wouldn't 30.06 notice still be in effect even after leaving the company?

I remember a paper I signed but I don't remember the written text since it was 8 years ago but no 3006 sign at the doors. They won't let me look at my file to see what it says on the paper. I'm just about to change jobs and get my level 3 comissioned guard test and was curious.

I know it could be subjective, but if you ask the HR Manager he is 'supposed' to give you the answer that is in the policy and as to what you have previously agreed to.
Not to dive in too much, but if it is an "ex" employer, why would you go there anyway that this would be an issue?

good reason.
I take it that they have a policy that employees cannot carry? But they don't have a 30.06 posted, so if it were me, I would be on the belief that once my employment ends, so does the employment rule of not carrying.
However, I understand your concern, and would continue as you are, trying to get 'their' understanding of the situation.

Are you in their employee, are you on duty? If not, you're just another 'John' off of the street - until you shoot somebody. Just be cool.
BTW, IANAL and strongly believe that 'sleeping dogs should be let to lie'.

I know the paper said no guns while at work but I don't remember all the wording. And I can't carry anyway cause I work loss prevention which is considered security and you may open carry if you have a level 3 comissioned guard liscense but I don't. When I get my chl in the mail hopefully Monday, I am going to sign up for that class.

{SIGH} What then, is your question?
