I am about to send in my paperwork but now I am moving. Should I just send it in and after I get it do an address change? Or is there a change of address form that I should send now?

Thanks! BSB

If you're moving for sure, I'd wait and send it in with the new address. It's $25 to change your address on the CHL. I applied for my CHL while I was looking for a house. I just found out my license is on the way... the day I got a purchase contract written. :(

I have already filled out my paper work. Should I just send the change of address form with it or get a new form and start over?

Thanks! BSB

If you can get a new form and start over then do that. I took my class 1 month before I moved and I was instructed to fill it out with my NEW address. Boy... I'm glad I did. By the time I got the CHL, I was settled into my new place, and i didn't have to go through the hassle or expense of getting a change of address.

I just pulled my paperwork out to look at it and there is a red number at the top right corner. If I change applications will this mess things up. I was wondering if I typed up a cover page expaining the move if that will fix things or just make it worse. I think the answer is going to be mail it and then pay for the change of address.

Call 800-224-5744 and ask how they prefer that you do the app., you should not send it in and then have to make an address change.

Um, I know white-out wouldn't exactly look good on the application, but it's not a job application. Who cares how it looks? So long as it is legible.

I just called and spoke to a CHL technician at the above posted 800 number.

She indicated that when you receive your pin number in the mail, you can call them to request a change of address on your application. There are no fees for this.
