Got all day Monday off, got some change in my pocket, thinking about going to Eagle Peak.
So what should I do while i'm there?
Keep putting more rounds through the Glock 26? Give my Brownings the love and attention they have been missing? Get a TON of different .22s and see if I can ever get my Walther P22 to not suck? Give the old Model 67 .38 which I stink with a try (its been months).
Try shooting at 15 yards? Stick with 7? Shoot at Small Targets? Stick with Regular Bullseye? Go for People Shaped Targets (One day I will shoot a Smiley Face into one and I will Frame it on the wall)
Have gun, am bored

I plan to spend some time at the Garland range today. (I think they may be owned by the same people since their websites are linked). I plan to shoot .22's. I went to Academy over the weekend and got 4 different brands of ammo to shoot through my 10/22 and Buckmark to see which brand patterns the best in each gun. I hope they both like the same brand. That will make things easier. I'm hoping the wind settles a bit. If not, I may spend more time with the Buckmark than the 10/22.

They are owned by the same Guy. If you have a Range card for there it works here and vice versa. I asked for another one and laminated them back to back. (I think the Eagle Peak one is nicer as far as upkeep, but I like Garlands Rifle and Pistol lanes better. Also they have PA system for Cease fires at Garland and thats awesome.

Here is what I figured out
Bulk .22 ammo is dirty and inaccurate for my Walther.
I need New Better sights for the walther that arent so far apart.
Remington "Thunderbolt" works best, so far.
Its hard to get Ammo in a timely manner at Wal Mart, and once that case opens people come out of nowhere for ammo.
Just because you bought a $2000 "Race Gun" and Handload doesn't mean you can shoot any better than me and my cheap short barrel glock with Monarch ammo.
A .44 Magnum is LOUD, and its also the first time I've seen a Revolver Jam.
Wear sunscreen, bring water, take allergy medicine.
I need new sights for my BHP, Black Target Sights on Black target make it hard to get fast sight picture
Still amazed at how accurate my Glock is
I saw someone hold the gun sideways and unload as fast as possible, they hit nothing, Range Master chewed them out good though
Why do people who cant hit jack at 7 yards go and try at 15? I dont even get shooting at 15 yards with a normal handgun.
shooting guns is fun
Going to try and take some newbies this Sunday, they are from Canada, so this should be fun
