Not all Hawaiian-style shirts have to be LOUD/DARK

This is one of my favorite Tommy Bahama shirts, it's light (color and weight), it's linen, it's comfy, realllllly comfy actually, and also great for HOT Texas Summers. When I tried it on in the store I was at first worried about the gun actually showing through the shirt, as you can see some of my skin tone showing through the front:
But, to my major surprise, when I turned sideways and looked for the gun in the mirror, well, where was it??
Oh, there it is!! (BTW - that's a Kimber Compact Aluminum in a Bullman IWB PDL holster, the one I waited *over* a year for!)
Here's a shot from a back/quarter angle...what gun?

Looks like Mr. Bahama carries at 5:00. OTW why would he put a nice palm tree right where your gun hides?

Hey! I'm serious! That's a GREAT looking shirt! I'd love to have one. The one in the pic is PERFECT for a right handed person for CHL. But with no palm tree on the left side, for a left handed CHL it wouldn't do much good.
(well I'd love to have one but Tommy Bahama shirts start at about $85.00.)

Joe - they are DEFINITELY overpriced...I shudder to think how much I've spent at the TB store...we even have a 10'x12' rug at the house! Got a good deal on it though.
Last year my wife and I made a trip to San Marcos and stopped by the Tommy Bahama outlet store. It coincided with the tax-free weekend and their prices on Saturday and Sunday were 50% off!!! And tax free too! So, I loaded up on a fair amount of shirts in the $40-60 range for camp/Hawaiian-style and the T-shirts were $16-20 or so. I know, still too much, but as a "Hawaiian Shirt Connoisseur" I've gotta say they are the best-fitting/looking shirts for me. My shirts are either high-end or low-end, not much in the middle.

Ohmygosh! They have an outlet store in San Marcos??? I DEFINITELY have to tell my wife about it! She's down there 3 or 4 times a year while on business in Austin. Thanks for the tip!

I'll tell her about it.
$40.00 not a bad price that's affordable for one of those's. I love Hawaiian shirts. have about 4 of them that I've all but worn out.

The closest thing I have to them are the "collection" of Jimmy Buffet's
Margaritaville staff t's I have from their stores around.....mostly from New Orleans.
They have a retail store up by me in Southlake. I went in there one day, and went ga ga at the good looking shirts they have. Then I looked at the price tag, and stumbled out quickly.
thanks for the tip PUCKER! Definitely I'll put the bug in wifey's ear!

I was at home not long ago, and my "fashion conscious middle school cheerleader daughter" said she'd go to the store with me. I came out of the bedroom with shorts (holding my supertuck), a Hawaiian shirt, and my cowboy boots on....and she refused to go with me, LOL.
I have quite the Hawaiian shirt collection now.....they hide "the goods" quite well.

I bet the problem was your choice of boot color. The toughest part of that ensemble is deciding on black or brown boots.

I seem to get it wrong every time.

That's what daughters are for.
I always consult with my "fashion coordinator" to make sure I look fly.
