Ran across this on another website and am interested. What are your thoughts on the 19-5 and the price? From what I've read it seems to be a very good model. Price seems a little high but I haven't done enough research to be sure, although it's OBO. It's aethestically pleasing to me, although I'd change out the grips in a heartbeat. It would be another carry piece, maybe for my wife (in .38 special), but to be honest, I've always wanted a .357 Magnum revolver.

Thank y'all for your input!

Here's the info and pics:

Very Nice. Price is'nt too bad I'd offer $400.00 and see if they bite. A nice set of Hogue monogrips would really make that gun stand out.

edit: I forgot to add back in the day the model 19 was the favorite gun of most cops light and powreful. the 2" M19 was the favorite of many detectives, undercover officers and, as an off duty gun. They shouldn't get a steady diet of .357 ammo +P and +P+ .38s are OK for long term shooting.

Great model. The price is about $75.00 to high for not being pinned and recessed. I would make sure the lockup and timing are solid.

I was told a long time ago that a good deal was if the seller was happy and buyer was happy it was a good deal. I guess it depends on how much you want it. ;-)
