The Sig Revolution 1911 .45ACP. Anyone here heard of it/shot it/have it? I'm picking one up this Friday and it'll go into the carry rotation.

I have a 5" GSR. It's my best 1911, looks and shoots good.
If you are buying used, I have read that some early production had some issues, but mine runs like a train and is very accurate.

I had one — a 4.25" "Stainless Carry" model — and got rid of it. Beautiful to look at and accurate, but it was a fickle and unreliable mistress. The grip safety finally quite working on it, and I traded it back into the store I bought it from for a Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II, which has proven to be an extremely reliable and accurate gun.

I guess the rest of the brand is OK, but you couldn't pay me to take another one of their 1911s... ...and I am a 1911 guy to the bone and carry two different versions of the platform.

Hmm....guys, I think I'm going to scratch the Sig, and go with a 4" Kimber Custom Compact.

Thanks for the replies....I've found a lot more positive feedback on the Kimber's than I have on Sigs 1911's....not a lot of negative, but not a lot of great either.
