I called CMP this afternoon and was told my order had been picked and is being readied for shipment. I am anxiuosly awaiting the arrival of my first Garand. Possibly it will come the same day as my real new baby, grand daughter that is! Number five (to be named Averie) is due May 6th. I am still in the process of picking a name for the Garand.

I don't know, but I'll let you know when it arrivives. Will they tell you the S/N when they pick the order? Leon at the CMP store convinced me order the Springfield in Service Grade. The other choice was HR as WRA are not available; at least in service grade. My only other firearm experience is an M1 Carbine my dad ordered in the 60's from DCM as it was known back then. It was an IBM I believe and I also bought a surplus M1 Carbine in 1969 that must have been parade grade because it was pristine parkerized and shiny stock. All lost in a burglery years ago.

Listen to Leon, he's a guru! He gave us the same advice, and we received two beauties. :thumbs2:

The S/N for each of our rifles was posted in a field of the estore order form when the rifle was selected for shipping (have you checked your estore account?), so look there for it.

Sorry for your loss in the burglary. :mad5
My ladies thoroughly enjoy our M1 Carbines.

I sent the order by mail, but I did set up an E account last week but there was nothing in it. I assumed because I sent a mail order. I'll check again.
cajunautoxer, I saw that had ammo and was going to check their price against others but it looked pretty reasonable.

The dogs barked, the doorbell rang. Dr. FedEx delivered Baby Garand. Still needs cleaning up, but looks pretty good. Don't have any food yet, but it's on the way. Baby Grand now scheduled for early next week.
