Any reccomendations on what to bring to class tomorrow. Below is a list of what I am bringing so far:

Water
Handgun (semiauto) (I am bringing 2 in case one jams)
2 Mag's for each handgun
200 Rounds - Is this enough?
Hearing protection
Towel

Any other suggestions?

You might also need eye protection.
That is plenty of ammo, 50 rounds is all that is required.

If shooting outdoors:
-hat/cap
-sun block?

Coffee?

Patience, and lots of it. CHL class definitely isn't the most exciting thing you'll do all week. Perhaps a cusion for your chair, or maybe you could use the towel for that?

Drivers license, checkbook or CC,

Round count is plenty - qualifying course is only 50 rds. You may or may not get a chance to practice before firing for qualification. If offered take the oppurtunity - even if you don't need the practice it's a welcome break from the classroom.

Your biggest problem in this class will most likely be it is so long it can be boring even with the best instructors.

JL, I think you were in my class today. You sat front left and had 2 Hi powers. Hope you enjoyed it.

Sorry TXI - I wasn't in your class - I tool William Elliott's class out at Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills. ( You know each other ).

The worst part of the class was the chair - but thats not bad. I am used to this type of setting coming from the Emergency Medical Services field up north.

There were plenty of breaks and the broke the routine and kept it from getting too boring. I have learned so much from the members of this site that the class was a breeze. I got a perfect score on the written and qualification (100% and 250(4" grouping)

Well I suppose on Tuesday when I mail in the packet to DPS that its time to bring my comfty chair into the waiting room - although from what I have been reading lately they have been more efficient in Austin.

Thats wild. I had a JL in my class.

William Elliot (Bill) teaches for me too. Great guy.

Thats where I took my class as well, but there was a different instructor - Thomas Moran. Was a good class in any case.
