I have been reading this forum since april 2010. I have enjoyed learning so much about my fellow Texas CHC. This has been very informative. I checked my status Fri. the 11th. Says my license has been mailed. My question is, does it hit the postmans hand that day?, or does it take a day or two for the DPS mail room to get it out? Any info is apreciated.. Thanks!!

its my personal experience that Friday mailings from Austin, took till Wednesday for Houston delivery.
if you get it earlier, great for you, but don't be disappointed till after Wednesday
I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you as a lot of us before you were as well.

It was a good 3-4 days from the time they said it was mailed until it arrived in my mailbox. Just breathe and be patient. In the meantime, you can pick out what shirt you plan to wear on your Wally Walk! Best luck!

Congrats Grackleshooter! I'm in the same boat with a 6/11 mailed status. I'm in the DFW area. I'm figuring on Thursday for me.

Another 6/11 mailee here, I'm an hour from Austin, who knew it would take 4+ days for it to get here.

I'm just guessing here but I bet that the status becomes "mailed" as soon as the license completed but that it probably doesn't end up in an envelope and out the door for a day or two. Its really tough to be patient at this point for me but I'm trying.

Well.... Still no card in mailbox yet. Funny thing though. A friend of mine who took the chl class with me, and sent her packet in the same time as me, got her card today. Even though her photo was rejected and she had to send in a new one.

Yeah, I was way behind the curve as well, even with no issues with my packet. I'm sure it'll be in the box for you tomorrow.
