Maybe they decided that someone with such a bad temper shouldn't have a license to carry??
Relax.....breath.......it will be here soon enough. :)

LOL, I was half joking.. didn't you see my Glock jab?
I can tell you though, this is starting to get me to question the idea that State Governments are more efficient than the Feds

Hey, at least you have a CHL, which is a heck of a lot more than I can say. With my luck i'll probably get capped by a bad guy tonight because I am unarmed - without even a Glock :(
At least you can protect yourself; albeit with a Glock, but at least you'l still be alive when the sun rises tomorrow.
I'll probably be lying on a cold, steel autopsy table of the Harris County Coroners office, filled with .32 caliber bullets fired from a Lorcin or Jennings.
Anyone want my guns before I die?

Took me a full week to get mine after it was approved. Seemed like a lot longer. I feel your pain.

Austin told me when I called after seeing the "certifcate issued" statement on the website that it could take 7-10 days before I actually had it in my hand.
It took 6 days.
The answer to your problem is quite obvious. Don't go outside.

ME ME ME ME ME!!! I DO I DO I DO!! :D :D
It took a week for mine to come after the web site changed. Relax.
If you worried about being a resident of the Harris County morgue then stay the BLEEP home! :P Curl up on the couch with your CX-4 and a good movie.

I'm sure it's frustrating, but remember the CHL is simply a license for a tool; self defense is a mindset...
Good luck...

I think mine was 2 or 3 weeks after I saw that message until I had the hard copy in my hand.

I sent in my Florida app after my Texas. Had to resubmit my FL 'cause FBI couldn't read prints. FL commisioner Charles Bronson (really!) sent me a nice letter apologizing for the FBI and said they would issue my FL on-time even if FBI did not respond to reprints. Received my Fl before my TX. Just for kicks I sent in Virginia while waiting for TX. Received my Virginia within days of my TX. Only took 4 weeks for Virginia. Pennsylvania (before TX reciprocity) took 2 weeks. Kind of ridiculous.

Yeah I don't get what's up with Texas. Our fees are higher than most states and it takes longer still...
