i'll be voting for bill white

now that i have your attention.this is what one of my friends told me. i dont think that he will ever see the light(he thinks that since my girlfriend is of mexican descent she has to be a democrat). does bill white really have a chance of winning in november? i guess he does i mean look who's in the white house
. but really how much do we need to worry?

I don't think White has much of a chance, but elections are still held for a reason, just like football games are still played.
The real question is why does your friend assume that your girlfriend must be a democrat since she is Mexican? This is a perfect opening to get your friend to question his thoughts and possibly change them. Granted, I don't think that making assumptions about someone's political leanings based on their ethnicity qualifies as thought.

Word from the press (take it for what it's worth) is that White has suddenly pulled even with Perry due to Perry's reported "support" of the Arizona immigration law. That situation has become a new issue for campaigns in various states. So, the TX election could be closer than previously expected.

i've tried talking to him about his leanings but he's too dumb to think for himself. i love the guy to death, but i don't think he can be changed. he thinks that clinton should be back in office since "he made the economy better". he loves to go shoot all my guns, but wants the person behind the AWB back in office?
i'm slowly realizing he's a lost cause. he still lives at home at the age of 26 and cant seem to keep money in his bank account to pay his bills but he can buy video games and action figures.
i really think that alot of it has to do with his parents. his mom was gonna load up on a bus and go to arizona to protest the new law. she's in deep with LULAC and everything obama.

There are those who say that Perry hasn't "supported" the Arizona position as he should.
In any event, the Hispanic bloc is a major voter base to either support or reject. So far, neither party, going back several administrations, is willing to alienate them. IOW, it's all about re-election - for both parties.
As far as I am concerned, it's not about ethnicity, it's all about legality.

Bill White has a great chance of being elected by the same people who put the guy (Barry Soetoro) in office who is pretending to be President, and those unfamiliar with the messes he made in Houston.
Be afraid, ....
and .... Vote !!!!!
Still, it's better than that devout Muslim who owns the Houston Hair Care company and sends millions to the Palestinian Terrorist Organizations.... oops, I mean money-laundering oops, ... I mean "charities" errr non-profit/tax exempt organizations in Palestine etc.

If people do not participate in voting then White would have a chance to win. If all those who think that Perry is sure to win stay home and do not vote and all of the Dem's do then everybody could be in for a big surprise.... Get out and VOTE it is your duty as an american citizen.................

From the June 18, 2010 Rasmussen polls:
"The Texas gubernatorial race is a little tighter this month, with Republican Governor Rick Perry’s support dropping just below 50%. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Texas now finds Perry with 48% of the vote, while Democratic challenger Bill White picks up 40% support. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.
A month ago, Perry crossed the 50% mark for the first time in the contest, leading White, a former Houston mayor, 51% to 38%. "

Real Clear Politics has Perry up by 4.7%, but that's just an average of all their polls.

Apparently, the latest poll by Public Policy Polling, dated June 19-22 (the latest poll I could find) shows a dead heat, at 43% Perry and 43% White. This one has the actual questions that were asked.

As someone who lost about 1/3 of the value of my investments in the last year of the Clinton administration, I don't remember it as such a great economy. Remember what happened in March of 2000?
