During the fun thread on my new truck/BUG, my Rossi .357 Magnum, 4" barrel,
I mentioned that it lives in my seatbelt holster. The reason I keep my BUG there
is because it is more easily reached while driving and seatbelted, than my EDC
PT-111.
saltydog452 asked about it. I will repeat here what I replied to him previously.
My seatbelt holster is a DeSantis Jamaican model, so-called because Jamaican
taxi drivers use them. Search the DeSantis holster website (I don't have the
exact name handy). IIRC, mine was about $50. They ship out of NYC/NYS
somewhere.
The other vendor I know who sells seatbelt holsters is "WRB".
The owner is Bill Bandlow, who speaks with an artificial voice device.
He has seatbelt holsters for $40, and other styles of holsters as well.
I have seen him and his holsters at the Fort Worth gun shows. He may
go to others as well, I don't know.

A seatbelt holster can be used for either the usual hiding spot for
your BUG (covered with a towel or what-have-you),
OR
if you don't have a BUG, you can leave your EDC in it if you are just
running into a 30.06/prohibited place for a minute.
I very much like the fact that my EDC is on body, and that I have a
BUG within reach while driving. I used the long adjustable strap
around the bottom portion of the seat, and the gun sits in an
up-and-down orientation on the front face of the seat, right
behind my stick shift.
