Yeah, I know. It has been a lot of trouble getting enough ammo in .380 to get in much range time. You spend too much time driving from one place to another.

I am VERY interested in the NEW Bodyguard by S&W. I know the first few months will give us some idea of how much trouble they are, and how well built.

I understand that some have already made it to market. I would like your thoughts if you have any experience with one. Things like what holsters fit best, dissassembly problems, fit and finish, etc.

I have been waiting for this to compare to the Taurus TCP 738 and the Ruger LCP. A bit expensive due to the laser versus the others as optional if you want one. However, it did feel good to handle. Did not get to shoot. Stronger trigger pull than the cocked TCP 738 as expected. Similar like my S&W642. But felt good in the hand. About the same size as the 738 too. Just need to let the wife now see what she likes.

I too have been looking at the S&W Bodyguard 380. The only thing I don't like about it is that is double action only. This may be a deal breaker for me. Want to hold one in my hand before making a final decision.

So are the LCP which is the big pocket carry.... as is the para ordnance carry 9. I have no prob with either.

BTW...on cost, I am seeing them under $400.

It's a S & W, so it should be alright, but being a beta tester is always a risk when there are tried and true models on the market.

Am I supposed to find good or bad things about it? I didn't know it existed. From what I've experienced and read the Sigma is an inexpensive workhorse with an insanely heavy trigger. Still, it beats the unreliable guns that are readily available; if all I had was $250 and didn't own a gun, I would consider getting one.

The Sigma 380 was not of the quality of the current SW9VE or SW40VE's. The slide was made of metal that wore down faster and the internal parts were only good for a little over 1000 rounds before they would start breaking down. I found one at a shop that I could have picked up for $125, but decided it wasn't even worth it.

I had a Sigma 380 at one point in time. Got it for cheap and sold it for cheap. Besides the ultra heavy trigger the one other major dislike was the funky mag releases that I somehow managed to release one side during shooting which always lead to a FTF. Oh yeah forgot to mention the non existent sights....

I fondled a Bodyguard .380 and a Bodyguard Revolver a few days ago. The .380 felt great and it was very tempting to purchase. The Revolver felt good but I was turned off on the cylinder release and the polymer componets.

LHR - I bought the BG .38 revolver last week. After putting 70 rounds through it (usually only had 3 loaded to just work on 3 shot groups) I like the cylinder release, it's easy to use, ambidextrous, etc.
