any of you ever try a concealed carry holster called the "cell Pal"? I checked the site and it looks like it might be very useful...just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with it.

First off, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, yes, I have tried one and personally didn't like it. To me it felt like I was wearing a dinner plate in my pants.

I don't think I would care for it. It doesn't look very comfortable and seems it would be hard to draw from. Plus, I don't normally wear baggy pants and it would print something fierce, people would look at me as if I some kind of odd growth down there.

If you watch and listen to the guy who sells them at the gun shows it will look great, He is a true salesman and has practiced with it many thousands of times. In reality it would take forever to break one in and from my perspective it was very uncomfortable and not worth while but to each their own. I have seen people who like them buying a second one. It reminds me of the "Don't point at things you would not be willing to destroy" rule, carrying at 11 or 1 o'clock is a bit too close for me.

Odd growth?
Crossbreed supertuck or minituck would be a better choice for comfort and functionality IMHO.

Man are you being polite. It looks like a frisbee in your pants. It's the worst thing I've ever tried.
Chas.

I bought one years ago. As someone said, he was a great salesman and had mastered the art of making the draw look easy. It wasn't. It is in a box with my other failed carry rigs.

Funny.... I thought the exact same thing. I bought the darned thing at a gun show after watching this guy pull it out and draw in like 2 seconds. Had me fooled... yes he did. I forked over around 80 bucks for that thing.

The smartcarry pouch has the same problem.

From the days of the dinosaurs, or at least from before cell phones were popular, I had a Pager Pal. I just looked at the link it the first post and it's the same . . . thing.
I didn't like it either.

I have one and I actually don't have a problem with it. I'll use my Crossbreed for when I'm wearing baggy shirts or the cell pal when I'm wearing tighter shirts. I've personally spoken to 3 LEOs in separate instances with it on and they never let on that they suspected anything. The one time I had to provide ID, the LEO couldn't tell where it was even after I told her and pointed. I was sitting down at the time too, which I think makes it more noticeable.
Drawing while sitting isn't going to happen though, unless you lean waaaaay back. The gun is over your important area, with the barrel hanging about a third of the way down your leg. I never had a problem drawing while standing up, and after maybe 5 minutes of practice I had it down to almost as fast as drawing from my Supertuck.
